Books, Paris, and Brunettes

I have a new obsession, and you all are probably going to think I'm nuts. I probably am, but I like this new obsession. First of all.. I'm addicted to coke and taco bell. That one has been going on for a LONG time. Well, coke (coca-cola) since I was conceived and taco bell.. soon after. But the new equation is cheese quesadilla + mild sauce + coke=mouth explosion. Their cheese quesadilla have this jalapenos sauce that makes it hot (I'm weak.. so pepper is hot to me), then the mild sauce gives it a whole different taste of hot and flavor... then the coke... it fizzes in the mouth and sooths that heat. It's sooooo good. Well, I think so anyway.

The new obsession is the reality game show "Paris Hilton's My New BFF". Say what you want, but of course, I'll have my twenty-two cents too. This show is waaay cleaner than a lot of other celebrity game shows. A Shot of love with Tila Tequila, Rock of Love, The one with the gangsta guy and the clock, Everybody loves New York, just to name a few. Paris is looking for a Best Friend to bring up in the world of Hollywood and designer. She's not looking to get all skanky with chicks/dudes. She's actually very posh in the shows. And I love her for it. She's so confident and (surprisingly) sweet that it's contagious from just watching the dang thing. I love it! I love it! I want Shelley to win because she's perfect, and if she does a second season, I would LOVE to go!

Not for the fame or the deals Paris helps with, but to just be around her. I think she's cleaned up a lot compared to what's been spread around about her.

Anyway, back to reality... My book... ahhhh my book. That thing just doesn't seem to get enough attention from me lately. I've been trying to find time to edit my chapters (b/c of course you know, I've finished the first draft) but the time keeps passing. I scheduled enough time to get it ALL done and re-edited before Christmas, but so far, I've missed three days of the editing. I feel horrible, mainly towards myself, because I'm not doing what I've planned.
Hopefully I can get caught up on it this weekend when I'm not working, but, there's still school :(. I'll let you know more tomorrow!!!

BTW.. I've been penciled in at a salon to get the hair did!!!!!!!! I'm nervous! I've never had it done before!!! eeek..

Anyway... way too late to be up typing! g'night!! Happy Halloween!! I have some good stories about Halloween too! Tell you tomorrow though!

Dim Tests and Ruined Days

PLEASE, for all that's pure, if you have a test, use it to assess what the student has learned from your lessons!! Don't just pull questions out of thin air just to make us get it wrong. We don't take the class to be tested higher than what we're learning, we take the damn class to learn something and reassure our learning. That's it. No strings attached. No adding 7 million questions and requests that don't correlate with the teaching material.

 I just took a really really really really stupid excel exam, and I pretty much failed it because there was no way we learned any of that material during our tutorials and review assignments. And even on the review assignments, the reviews include things we haven’t learned yet.

 Anyway, I was so frustrated I cried. Not full blown crying, but tears in the eyes and steam fuming from my ears. If you didn’t know, that’s what happens when I’m soooo angry and I can’t do anything about it. I hate not being able to say something. It must be in my blood.

 Just feel lucky you weren’t here to experience that scene. Poor Craig, he had to take the burden of that anger and help me with the practical part of my test.

 *Sigh* I was going to make this post happy b/c I was in a good mood for most of the day, but I can’t do it anymore.. It took me 4 hours to do the damned test. That and I got held late on a long call where the customer hung up anyway… but I stayed 30minutes overtime. Ick.

 I did make an appointment for my hair to get dyed this Saturday at 3:00pm (pacific time).  So, I can’t chicken out!!! I hope I like it.

Anyway, I need to read. Editing’s going to need to wait until tomorrow. I’m way too frustrated to think clearly. I’d probably kill off all my people and ruin the story and my future with this series.

All I Want for My Birthday (Or christmas!!) Is My Two Front Teeth

In case you forgot, the day the earth started for me was 22 years ago on 12/4... so, since it's a little more than a month away, I'll give you an idea what I like! You can coordinate with each other.

This is a tough decision to make!!! But, lets give it a try:

1. Audio Books for:

(I guess they have it at Barnes and Noble... I want!!)

2. Bamboo clothing (not just the sticks, I don't know how to put the two together.)

3. This is just silly.

9. I've been craving chocolate for a while now. I'm not sure if it's because chocolate helps me stay awake when other things fail (coke/coffee/awake pills). My big addiction right now is anything Hot. So that means, hot chocolate, spiced chai tea, apple cider. mmmm.

I like regular hot chocolate (not the packets but in the cans :)) raspberry hot chocolate, mint hot chocolate; not just any spiced chai tea, the one that's pictured ("Big Train");  and I can have any kind of apple cider--except for the sticks, I don't know how to work those.

If I got a dime every time I heard that...

People in Washington are crazy and rude and very selfish. I never thought their would be so much evil in the world, but I guess there is. I'll give the world the benefit of the doubt and say that all the evil is concentrated in Washington state.

I'm not sure if it's because the weather is
 so dreary all the time, or if it's the food we eat, the water we drink, or the air we breath that makes them forget their manners, but there is definitely something causing this epidemic.

It's almost like all the depression in Alaska during the month of darkness.

So, today is "If I got a dime every time..." day:
  • If I got a dime every time I was told I was useless then hung up on without given the opportunity to defend myself... I'd have almost a dollar.

  • If I got a dime every time I was called a bitch over the phone at work, I'd have a whole dollar (by the way, 9 of them was one kid--that's what he acted like anyway--I wanted to tell him he didn't know what that side of me was like and he better hope he didn't see it... but he hung up.)

  • If I got a dime every time I was asked "Hey, how are ya?" and then never given the chance to respond, I'd have 3 dollars. (I usually mute myself and carry on the conversation like they paused for my answer.)
  • If I got a dime for every font I've downloaded in the past 24-48 hours I'd have roughly $1,500 (And I'm only on "J"!)

  • If I got a dime for every time I dreamed of never working a day in my life, god, I'd be rich.

Enthusiastic Amber Time

I'm a little too excited for my book, and I'm having a lot of fun with trying different covers.
I've been using pictures and art from online. One of them is a celebrity who just happened to have red hair :)

So, of course, these won't be the ones I'll keep, because of some laws and stuff, but they're ideas. And if someone can draw, I'd love to try and use drawings from someone I know. I'm mainly sticking to Vampires, Werewolves (wolf-like, not so much man like), Ghosts,Witches, if it's a girl, make sure she has red hair. I'll use drawings in any form if I like them. You don't need to be good with a pen and paper.

My Favorites are ##10 & 7 & 13 (except for no dragon tattoo on #13), Craig likes 10 & 8 (this is the only thing I've let him see. He doesn't get a peek at the writing), but the character has red hair, so I changed the color of #8 b/c the girl in the story has red hair. You'll notice that there are a few that look the same, but the background or the coloring is different, it's all just testing them out.

Editing Progress


It's been officially 1 month since I started this project! 1 MONTHAnd even then, I finished writing on September 21st.

Just in case you didn't know, I started writing a book. Well, technically I've started writing about 4 books and thought of more books to write on top of that.

But out of the ones I've already started, I have managed to complete one. Kind of. I have a beginning, a middle, and an end; which is the furthest I've gotten on any of my books. So I'm am pretty thrilled about it.

I took a small, couple day break from writing and I came back to my book to edit. And I have just have to get this out there, it is going to be a darn GOOD book.

I don't expect everyone to read it, because it's not for everyone. But if you like the
Twilight Series, you will like my book. Although, I think mine picks up quicker than Twilight. 

So far, Julie's read the prologue and the first chapter (whether or not Brian has read them, that's still an unsolved mystery). Angela has read the prologue only I believe, and they've said it was good. But then, they could just be saying that. But after that, I'm still not ready for it to be read by others. Sorry, they like the same books I do.

So, we'll see! I've already edited the first 3 chapters like crazy and I've managed to add 3,000+ words to the original. I'm shooting for 300 pages or more and that's at least 94,800 words. I'm on 44,001 now... so... if my calculator is correct (I can't do math in my head) 
I have 50,799 words to go. It's a good thing I've still got 19 chapters to go--and I may add more chapters as I go on.

My plan is to have it all printed and wrapped up with a pretty red bow by Christmas. So that means it would take a total of 3 months to complete it (yes, I counted on my fingers, and out loud).

Anyway, I believe this means a toast to opportunity and success!

Hello Dark Side


I have decided that I will be dying my hair dark brown. I've never dyed my hair before and I've always took pride in that, but, my hair is boring. Sure, there's a million different shades and colors, but it can't decide what color it is going to be.

So, I will be dumping tons of money into the styling industry by dying my hair and probably maintaining it.

I am excited though. I found a style and a color I really like, and it doesn't make me look much whiter than I already am.

And I think it will make me look a lot older too. With this confusing hair color, it makes me look and feel quite young. And I have to admit, on a twelve year old, it looks great.

But I'm turning 22 in less than 2 months now, and I need to grow up. So here's to age and beauty!
