Girl Assaults an Officer, Another Resists Arrest, They Deserve Everything They Got.

I love this. So the high school on Martin Luther King Jr Way (what I often call Milky Way... b/c it's easier than saying MLKJrWay) asked the Seattle cops to send patrols out after school because they were having a lot of problems with jaywalking. In Seattle, jaywalking is illegal. I can only assume that it's because it's extremely unsafe with the weather conditions Seattle is known for. It's hard to see cars when it's pouring down, so imagine trying to see a person (who doesn't have lights to notify other cars of their existence) in the dark gray haze. It's bound for disaster.

Anyway! These kids were crossing the street illegally. The cop pulled a guy to the side first, then saw the girls doing the same thing. He called them over too. They started freaking out, instead of calmly listening to the cop and accepting their punishment for their crime (which could have just been a lecture and no ticket). The cop could tell the situation was going to get out of hand quick. So he proceeded to arrest one of the girls (19 years old). At this point... like all fights with  high school students, they began to get a crowd. And like the trend seems to be now, everyone pulled out their phones and cameras to get it on video instead of helping, or just standing back. The girl continued to resist arrest.

While he was trying to detain this 19 year old hoodlum (yes, hoodlum. And no, I didn't say that because she's black. I say that because she's an idiot. She's talking back and resisting arrest. She made a minor offense like jaywalking turn in to an arrest. Oh, and if I needed more info to prove she's a hoodlum--which really isn't necessary--she also has a previous record of assaulting a police officer... so yes, a hoodlum) the girl's 17 year old buddy started assaulting the police officer. She pushed, slapped, got in his face, she all but spit on him and pulled out a weapon. She's not a little girl either. She's definitely a very large (just big build and a bit chunky, but not fat) 17 year old girl. She seems taller than the officer.

So while this white police officer is trying to detain a black girl in a bad neighborhood with an increasing crowd forming, an idiotic girl is assaulting him (back-up was on the way). He had very little options. I'm positive he had a split second, if not more, of fear for his life in that situation. He probably thought, "Oh god, I don't want to be next". And by that, I mean next to die. Too many Seattle cops have died this past year, and they're on high alert for their lives. Literally.

What did he do to get the idiot girl away? He socked her in the face. Fina-freaking-ly! Geeeez. She deserved it.

That's not what the black community is saying. Well, the Seattle black community said that it wasn't going to be about race, but the Urban League has been brought in. Side note... where's my White League? Why don't I get one where they'll go to bat for me even when I do something stupid and completely avoidable? Okay, side note done. Here's a little bit of what the Urban League had to say about it in a press conference on June 15th:

"It is to my great dismay that we are gathered here again to review yet another police interaction that appears to be an overreaction to what started out as a non-violent, jaywalking situation. Unfortunately, this is becoming far too typical of a response from the Seattle police. The provocation by this 17 year old kid may have presented a confrontational situation, but the use of violence in the form of a full punch in the face was just plain wrong."

Since when did disrespecting cops become okay? Since when are we catering to 17 year old morons that do stupid things? What kind of person are you that you think you're better than a cop? That you have the right to touch a cop on duty? What kind of people are your parents that teach or let you think this way. You SHOULD fear the cops!!! You SHOULD fear that what you may or may not do would bring their wrath on you. That's what they're here for. They're here to uphold the law. They're here to make sure that if you break it, you know it and if necessary, are punished for it. They're putting their very lives on the line to protect you and you're life. They bury their friends and coworkers more often than necessary. How many times have you buried someone you worked with and befriended because of a murder? I haven't. If I did, I'd be too devastated to go back I think. And yet, these police officers do. They go back because they believe in what they do. So eff you stupid girls for being such pig-headed dumb-asses and thinking YOU're above the law. No one should be. Everyone should be held accountable. You did something wrong. You pay the consequences.

The Urban League for Seattle in their press conference kept saying: Yeaaaah, the girl was wrong, but he overreacted......... WTF are you talking about? He was in a bad neighborhood with a group forming around him and someone resisting arrest while another was already hitting him. Should he have tased her instead? Would that have satisfied you? And in all honesty... his punch looked kind of weak. Like it was more for shocking. I bet it didn't hurt as long as the girl will say it did. In fact, if she shows a bruise, I'll be very surprised. Then I'd be suspicious. With what I know of her (being an idiot girl hitting an officer) she'd probably have someone else hit her in the eye so she'll get a bruise.

Then this stupid lady, in addition to the race card being played, she's trying to play the gender card. Reverend Harriett Walden is saying that as women and victims of abuse we ALL need to rally behind this girl because she's a victim of assault. The cop used all our money poorly. She also compared his punch to domestic violence. That what he did is what guys get in trouble for doing behind closed doors. AAAHHHHH!!! Why are women sooo stupid! NO, It's completely different. What he did was try to subdue an idiot who was hitting him and trying to help her friend RESIST arrest! He used a tactic that's taught in their training. It was just one punch too (and a wimpy looking one at that). I'm pretty sure that no domestic abuser stops at one punch. AND I KNOOOW that it's a punch in the face and it hurts more than you think. I don't remember ever being punched in the face by anyone else, but I sure have hit myself in the face (recently too) on accident. No bruises, no pain after 2 minutes. No lasting effects. And they were pretty hard too!

She's an idiot to think this is ANYTHING like a domestic violence situation.

Then there's the speculations: "What if it was a white girl and a black cop?" "What if it was a guy instead of a girl?" "Why didn't he wait for backup?" blah blah blah.

White girl & black cop: We don't have a "white league" to go to bat for our stupid mistakes. If a black cop hit a white girl, then she did something wrong and freaking deserved it!

Guy idiot vs girl idiot: Everyone would be okay with it. BUT! if you noticed, the girl that got the fist in the face had a guy trying to pull her away. He knew that it's better to not get in to it with a police officer. He also didn't look too surprised that she got hit in the face. Plus, if it was a guy instead of a girl, things would definitely get out of hand from there. Women are full of different passions. Guys tend to stay relatively calm until they think it's justified. So if a guy starts hitting and slapping, you know that it's about to get real ugly. Just like the cop. He waited for a long time before acting on the girl assaulting him. Everyone knew that the cop had found that edge and he couldn't let it get any further.

Backup: He had backup coming. He knew he was in a dangerous neighborhood. But he had only a few choice things to do before backup came. Why do you think he didn't take the girl to the ground to cuff her there? He would have been vulnerable to attack from above. He tried to use the hood of the car, but that didn't work as well as he had hoped.

He hit a girl!: Are we not trying to be equal to men? It's okay to hit a guy but not a girl? Come on!!! Washington as a whole is a very matriarchal state. Women are extremely strong there. Women Governor & Representatives. All complete nut-jobs. You can't get both sides of the fence for everything. If you want to be equal, you better be prepared to be treated like a guy. Which is insane. Women and men are chemically, emotionally, physically different. You can't be equal.  If I'm being a freaking moron, and a guy would be punched for what I'm doing, and I expect to be treated equally to a guy, then PUNCH ME IN THE FACE!!!! jeeeez! I personally would like to be treated like a woman from years ago. I want to be a stay at home mom, I don't want to bring in an income (I will, only because C wants me to), I don't want to support myself, but instead support my husband. I want to be inferior to him, for him to appreciate my cooking, for him to use me for his own pleasure. To not vote. I don't care!!! I know others do, but I could care less. The only thing I would miss is expressing my opinion and having it hold value. I personally would like to have more rights than they used to have, but I don't need them. Nor do I need to be equal with guys. awk jf;iaejf; sdkf.

In conclusion... if you think the cop stepped out of line, then you are what is wrong with our country. Cops are needed to keep the peace. 95% of crimes are committed by 5% of the population. That 5% of the population is who the cops are after to keep the 95% of us safe. This is proof of that statistic... The 19 year old girl he was trying to detain had previously committed a crime. $1,000 says she will again.

Teach our kids that cops are to be feared and obeyed if they're doing something wrong. And they're not exempt from any wrong doing. Fear helps them conquer the lure of breaking laws and rules. Obeyed helps them realize that if they're doing something wrong, then they can be remorseful of their decision and apologize. Which usually helps get out of the ticket.

Sorry for the rant... hahahaha.
